Tyrrells extends multi-pack range to gain a bigger share of the adult packed lunch market


Tyrrells, the Herefordshire-based premium crisp brand, is extending its multi-pack range in a bid to gain a bigger share of the adult packed lunch market.

The brand is offering its most popular flavours in multi-packs containing six x 25g bags. New to the range is Sea Salt & Cider Vinegar, now on-shelf in Sainsbury’s. Re-launching in August, in newly re-branded packs, are the mixed bag multi-pack (containing Mature Cheddar & Chive, Lightly Salted and Sea Salt & Cider Vinegar) and Lightly Sea Salted multi-pack.

Marketing director, Jocelyn McNulty, said: “Packed lunches have become much more premium in recent years, with more and more foodie consumers choosing to make delicious gourmet lunches at home and bring them into work. Crisps remain an important part of the packed lunch, acting as the perfect partner with sandwiches and salads, so we wanted to offer our customers the opportunity to keep that special premium feeling right through to their choice of accompaniment.”

New Sea Salt & Cider Vinegar multi-pack is now available in Sainsbury’s priced at £1.80 for 6 x 25g bags.
