MetaPack, the leader in providing intelligent delivery solutions for e-commerce and multi-channel retailers, announces today the acquisition of one of Europe’s leading shipping providers, Xlogics Group.
The acquisition of XLogics Group, which comprises XLogics GmbH, based in Rheinbach, Germany and XLogics Sp. z o.o, in Zielona Góra in Poland, means the MetaPack Group now has direct integrations with over 200 carrier networks across the EU and Rest of World. The combined group can now offer its customers access to more than 3,000 carrier services worldwide, said MetaPack.
Together, the group’s systems will power the allocation, delivery and tracking of over 350m parcels this year to consumers across the world, with the capacity to deliver to any global location, on behalf of a retail customer base of almost 20,000 shipping from more than 44 countries, MetaPack reports.
MetaPack, headquartered in London, opened an office in Hamburg last year in response to growing demand for its services in Europe, sees the acquisition of XLogics as a continuation of this international expansion. Critically, the acquisition also strengthens MetaPack’s ability to support the international growth of retailers based in the UK, Continental Europe and the US as they continue to target consumers outside of their home markets.
Managing director of the XLogics Group, Henning Berndt, said: “The last 10 years of Xlogics Group were truly a success story. We created strong and trustful cooperation with our clients. This deal is the base to expand the solution and service offering of XLogics and MetaPack simultaneously what will be a great benefit for all our clients. Our staff is looking forward to fruitful cooperation and interaction within the new company structure and I am happy to provide the best and most powerful solutions of the market to our clients.”
MetaPack’s founder and CEO, Patrick Wall, said: “We are delighted to bring the XLogics Group and MetaPack together to form the leader in the field of eCommerce delivery management. XLogics, like MetaPack, have many years’ experience of helping their customers to fulfil online delivery promises and we are very excited about the possibilities that this deal brings.”
Whilst account management and customer support operations will continue as before, MetaPack and XLogics will collaborate extensively on joint technology projects and product integration, in order to bring the benefit of their continued operations and technology expertise to bear for customers.
