UK Point of Sale, a leading UK manufacturer of point of sale products, based in Greater Manchester, has announced the appointment of a new head of e-commerce, Simon Weigh, as part of its ongoing commitment to providing its customers with innovative and creative online services.

Weigh joins the UK POS team from health and beauty retailer Boots, where his roles included both general manager of the Boots Treat Street website and partnership marketing manager. His key role involved working with suppliers to maximise the sales of their products both in-store and online.

Weigh said: Having worked for one of the biggest retailers in the UK I’ve seen first-hand the vital role that point of sale continues to play in what is for customers becoming an omni-channel world. UK POS has been a leader in its field for 25 years and the opportunity to develop our presence online and improve the service offering for all our customers, big and small, is extremely exciting.
