Cotswolds-based Five Valleys Cordials reports its range is flying off the shelves in local Waitrose stores and it is stepping up production to meet demand.
The cordials went on sale in Waitrose stores nationally earlier this month in an exclusive deal.
The company, set up by Chris and Becky Verinder-Baker, said shelves in Waitrose branches in Stroud and Cheltenham have regularly been stripped bare.
There are there flavours in the range: Apricot & Ginger, Lemon & Mint and Pomegranate & Rose.
Waitrose soft drinks buyer, Neil Whelton, said: “The Five Valleys cordials have added some interesting new flavours to a well-established category and have produced an exquisite lemon and mint cordial that Waitrose customers have been asking us to stock for a number of years, although the Pomegranate & Rose is proving to be the most popular.”
Chris said: “We have been delighted by the response from Waitrose customers and have stepped up production to cope with the growing demand. Our nearest stores in Stroud and Cheltenham have regularly been selling out.”
