Warburtons’ team of expert bakers have been working hard to develop new wraps as part of their Warburtons Gluten Free range, including a UK first: a brand-new beetroot wrap, the first of its kind in the gluten free bakery market in the UK.

As part of the new round wraps range, Warburtons is launching three products: a white wrap, a high protein wrap with super seeds and a brand-new beetroot wrap. Two of the round wraps will replace Warburtons Gluten Free square wraps which were introduced in March 2013 as the first gluten free wraps in the UK market.

Warburtons has listened to customer feedback and has been working hard to perfect a softer, thinner and tastier round wrap which are gluten, wheat and milk free.

The new products are the first to be launched since Warburtons rebranded its Newburn Bakehouse Free From range to Warburtons Gluten Free in January 2018. The range will now include 17 gluten free, wheat free and milk free products, providing fresh bakery options for gluten free customers. Products include a selection of artisanal bread, , sandwich thins, farmhouse and smaller 300g loaves and crumpets.

Chris Hook, business director – Free From, Warburtons said: “We are delighted to introduce our new range of gluten free wraps for our customers to enjoy. It’s been five years since we launched gluten free wraps to the UK market and during that time we’ve listened to what customers have had to say about our products and that’s why we’re pleased to be able to add even more variety to our range.

“Consumers are demanding a much higher quality of gluten free products than ever before and so our bakers have been hard at work to make sure these wraps deliver on look, texture and taste. We believe all our customers deserve delicious bakery items and our new wraps guarantee just that.”

The high protein and beetroot wraps will initially launch in Asda, with the full range rolling out to other retailers over the coming months.

The wraps are available in packs of four, with a lower recommended retail price than the original product: white wraps have an RRP of £2.50 and beetroot and protein will be £2.79 (previously all of Warburtons gluten free wraps were £2.99).
