WatchShop.com, the UK’s leading online watch retailer, has announced a partnership with Casio to help raise funds for the people whose lives have been impacted by the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
WatchShop.com is offering to donate 50% of the proceeds from the sale of two specially-packaged Casio sports models (one for men, one for women) to humanitarian efforts in the region and, in particular, to charities working actively to save and rebuild lives in the grief-stricken country.
“After seeing the devastation across Japan and the continued trauma of this very brave nation, we at WatchShop wanted to help support this cause by selling one of the world’s most iconic Japanese brands, Casio,” said director of WatchShop.com Kishore Naib.
The men’s watch is a sports watch with world time, chronograph, alarm and countdown timer. Water resistant to 200m, said to have been built to withstand being used roughly every day.
The ladies’ watch is a sports watch, with stop watch, alarm and countdown timer; claimed to be perfect for running or using in the gym, or as an everyday watch.
Both models will feature redesigned packaging, with a specially commissioned Japanese theme.
Casio, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of watches, has its headquarters in Tokyo Japan.
