Organic food company, What On Earth, is launching five products in its range – organic vanilla custard and four luxury organic granolas, which are sweetened with organic agave syrup.
According to the company, the products have been developed after the company received several requests from customers who were keen to see these new, luxury organic items on the market.
Jeremy Jaffé, co-founder of What On Earth, said: “We’re a very innovative company and we’re always developing new products. A lot of these are for the catering and foodservice side of the business, however, so we thought it was time we launched some new retail goods.
“We make a lot of bespoke and white label products for a range of high street outlets so our face is always hidden. As a result nobody knows that we’re behind the food they’re eating. Branding our custard and granolas and selling them as retail items will hopefully raise consumer awareness of our food once again. We’re extremely proud of our new products and we think they will be well received.”
What On Earth’s Organic Vanilla Custard is made with organic cream and vanilla from Madagascar. It is so creamy it can be frozen and eaten as ice cream, the company claims. The custard was developed in the company’s Soil Association and BRC accredited patisserie in Bridgwater, Somerset, which is where all What On Earth’s cakes and desserts are made.
The granolas were designed in the company’s London-based kitchen and were the brainchild of What On Earth’s head chef, Sergei Strelets. What On Earth said the handmade products contain top end ingredients, including indulgent Belgian dark chocolate, organic cherries and flavoursome organic coconut, which are bound together with organic agave syrup.
The four types of granola are:
· Organic Fruit and Nut Granola (contains sultanas, raisins, cashews and almonds)
· Organic Hazelnut and Madagascan Vanilla Granola
· Organic Cherry and Almond Granola
· Organic Chocolate and Coconut Granola
Strelets said: “Our luxury granolas are unlike many that are out there – they are thick, packed full of ingredients and we use agave syrup to bind them. They contain whole nuts, large pieces of fruit and chunky clusters of oats, which give them texture and crunch. The organic agave syrup allows the ingredients to soak up more flavour, plus it has a lower GI than sugar so it keeps energy levels balanced and makes the granolas healthier.”
The custard comes in 360g retail tubs with four tubs in a case. The granolas are available in retail packs of 500g each and there are 18 packs to a case. The cases are not mixed.
