ExaClair, the UK supplier of Rhodia, has signed a new contract with WHSmith for its top 100 stores, including flagship Brent Cross and York, to stock Rhodia’s full range of notebooks and pads and Europa’s new style A4 notebooks.
The Europa notebooks are brightly coloured, have robust card covers, and contain 180 pages of detachable, premium-quality, 90gsm sheets.
Mark Daisley, managing director at ExaClair says the new Europa pads offer an exciting new proposition for WHSmith: “They include all the features that appeal to the student and young person market, are sold at an appropriate price point, but the paper is of a much higher quality than equivalent products on the market.”
The Rhodia range was first stocked in WHSmith Travel last year. Thomas Jackson, core stationery buyer at WHSmith, says the decision to move into its High Street stores is a result of customer demand and the growing market for premium quality notebooks:
“ExaClair has a good understanding and knowledge of the market place,” he explains. “We are confident the Rhodia range will meet the needs of customers wanting premium quality notebooks and pads where fashionable design doesn’t compromise the paper quality or added value features.”
“Rhodia has expanded significantly over the past three years,” said Daisley. “Until recently, Rhodia was best known for its signature orange and black colours. We have now successfully branched into elegant whites and silvers, as well as vibrant colours all available in a wide range of card and leatherette covers. We’re confident this exciting range will do extremely well in WHSmith stores,” he says.
