High street retailer, Wilkinson, has appointed leading retail logistics provider, Clipper, to provide multi-channel fulfillment, including home delivery and click and collect from store.
The logistics solution, which was implemented in early autumn, handled almost a quarter of a million items in the first month of operation, Clipper reports.
The contract will be serviced out of Clipper’s Ollerton e-fulfilment centre of excellence, taking up 110,000sqft of a new 150,000sqft extension, which was completed earlier in the year. The facility will stock circa 14,000 product lines, and a total of around 400,000 individual units, at any one time to offer high level stock availability.
Clipper said the contract reflects demand from high street retailers to secure a slice of the growing online market, whilst offering shoppers the best value, choice and shopping experience.
