Wincor Nixdorf adds solution to help retailers manage workforce


IT services and solutions provider Wincor Nixdorf has added workforce management to its retail management software, TPApplication.

According to the company, the new package will enable retailers to better manage store staff – deciding how staff time should be used and where – and will cut costs in the process.

TPWorkforce is based on software from Wincor Nixdorf partner, ATOSS, and will be integrated into its TPApplication suite.

According to the company, service is an important diversification factor in retail. It guarantees increased revenue as well as improve customer satisfaction, it says. Workforce management supports retailers in balancing high-quality service and optimised personnel costs, the company claims.

Relevant factors such as: sales figures, receipts, customer frequency, current special events and promotions, for example; as well as weather reports and employee work time and vacation management are considered during the planning process.

ATOSS Software has concentrated on workforce management for more than 20 years. With almost 4,000 customers, including many large retailers, 2.5m employees are currently being organised and deployed by the ATOSS solution. The software is in use in more than 20 countries.
