Zappar announces partnership with AiBUY to drive experiential retail with augmented reality


Zappar, the world’s leading augmented reality (AR) platform and creative studio, announced a new technology partnership with the leading shoppable media technology for e-commerce platform, AiBUY. AiBUY’s unique proprietary overlay technology combined with the Zappar AR experience instantly gives Zappar integrations with industry leading ecommerce platforms like Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Shopify and Payment solutions like Stripe, Google Pay and Apple Pay. 

Together, AiBUY and Zappar can bring the checkout process into the AR experience, with no external linking required to complete the purchase. This allows users of the platform to capitalise on the purchase intent of consumers when it’s at its highest point, when they are browsing among products. The partnership marries the persuasive power of AR with the retail expertise of AiBUY to provide a formidable force in experiential retail. 

The partnership comes at a time when retailers are experimenting more than ever with experiential stores, extending their footprint away from stores.

The announcement was made during the first day of  AR Pioneers. The virtual event, which will take place over 22 and 23 June, will celebrate the progression of AR from its early days to its widespread use today, covering the key learnings of the past and how brands and businesses can best leverage AR and WebAR today.
