Zymurgorium launches Manquila cream liqueur

Zymurgorium Group, the prolific Manchester-based distillery and creator of award winning, never before seen gins, liqueurs and rums, is breaking the mould with its first exciting new launch of 2022.

Manquila, a wild strawberry cream liqueur with agave spirit from Jalisco (Mexico), has been developed by the flavour boffins at Zymurgorium to meet a strong need in the market caused by Brexit, the Covid-19 pandemic and other industry changes.

The new pour, which will be best served as a shot, over ice or in a creamy cocktail, will be available online from 1 April and also in Wetherspoon sites across the UK.  It is the first of a series of new product launches with as much creativity as the gins, gin liqueurs and rums that they are famous for.

Managing director of Zymurgorium, Aaron Darke said:  “Since the original conception of the idea in 2021, we have put a huge amount of time and effort into developing the very best product we could.  Manquila will be a luxurious, fruity, creamy serve that we think will deliver the best flavour and texture of any agave cream liqueur on the market right now.

“The real challenge for us was learning how to deal with dairy.  We can brew, we distil, but we have never made a product with cream before and from buying it in,  it has been a whole new curve for us. I think we nailed it though and I am excited to see what our consumers think from 1 April.

“It is brilliant to be able to put this product straight into a mega listing such as Wetherspoon.  It doesn’t stop here though, as people know, we are never one to stop once we are started, so we have big plans for more flavours very soon.”

Zymurgorium also has plans to create a plethora of other new products in 2022 as it expands its Cane Toad Rum range, gifting lines and a few surprises along the way too.

The Zymurgorium Group distillery based in Irlam, Greater Manchester, conducts all of its operations in-house all under one roof including distilling, bottling, warehouse, and office functions, with state-of-the-art production and bottling facilities.

The business was launched by Aaron Darke in 2013 with a multi-million pound investment into the development of a new distillery, state of the art bottling line; whilst developing a range of internal systems including implementation of the SALSA standard.

Known for its distinct industry innovations including the world’s first Parma Violet gin liqueur and the world’s first Ruby Chocolate rum, Zymurgorium has over 30 plus spirits and liqueurs in its range, including a host of new alcoholic innovations set to launch this year.
